Video (and or Audio) Matrix Switchers and Routers provide the ability to "cross connect" output devices (monitors, recorders, projectors...) to input devices (cameras, recorders, F/O Modems...). Multiple monitors can view the same camera without loading or the router can have multiple independent paths with every monitor connected to a different camera.
